We exclude from this definition any information that has been aggregated and/or anonymized to the extent that it no longer identifies a specific user.

    Upon opting to delete your account, it is essential to understand that specific segments of your account data will be retained on our servers aligning with the guidelines by the Central Bank. The rest of the information will be deleted from our server. This retained information encompasses, but is not confined to, limited personal data and transaction history. The necessity to retain certain elements is driven by regulatory requirements and ensures compliance with the established financial regulations.

    Rest assured the retained information will be handled with the same level of confidentiality and security as during your active account tenure. By using CX PayMe e-Wallet, you acknowledge and agree to the practices described in this section. We are committed to maintaining the confidentiality and security of your information, and we continuously strive to uphold the highest standards in data protection.     KYC Process Data Handling:
    During the KYC (Know Your Customer) process, we will request permission to access your device’s gallery to upload your ID. If you choose not to grant this permission, you will not be able to proceed with the KYC process. All information collected during the KYC process will be encrypted using state-of-the-art encryption protocols to ensure its security. The information will be deleted immediately after the completion of the KYC. Additionally, if you close the app while undergoing the KYC process, all the collected information will be deleted, and you will need to start the KYC process from the beginning.

SECTION 4 – CONSENT
At CX PayMe e-Wallet, we prioritize transparency and respect for your choices. This section outlines the importance of your consent in our data processing activities.

Voluntary Participation:
By using our services and providing personal information, you voluntarily consent to the collection, use, and processing of your data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Age of Consent:
To use CX PayMe e-Wallet, you must be of the legal age, which is 18 (eighteen). By using our services, you confirm that you meet the age requirements, and any information provided is not from individuals below the legal age.

Changes to Privacy Policy:
Any changes to our Privacy Policy will be communicated, and your continued use of our services after such changes implies your ongoing consent to the updated terms.

Gallery:
CX PayMe e-Wallet will request access to your device’s gallery to upload profile pictures, pictures of your ID. You can manage and revoke these permissions in your device settings. However, please note that if you do not grant these permissions, you cannot proceed with the KYC process, as these permissions are necessary for it to function. If you choose not to grant this permission, you will not be able to proceed with the KYC process or fully utilize certain in-app features. All information collected will be encrypted using state-of-the-art encryption protocols to ensure its security. Information will be deleted immediately after the completion of the KYC process or the specific in-app feature use. Additionally, if you close the app while undergoing the KYC process or using an in-app feature, all the collected information will be deleted, and you will need to start the process from the beginning.

Revocable Consent:
Your consent is not permanent. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. If you choose to do so, it will not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before the withdrawal. If you withdraw consent during the KYC process, any collected information will be deleted, and you will need to start the KYC process again if you decide to proceed later.

We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service.

SECTION 6 – THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Upon accessing the website or utilizing any of our mobile applications or other services, we gather your IP address and standard web log details, including your browser type and the specific pages you visited on our site.

If you open a CX PayMe e-Wallet account, we collect the following information from you:

Account Information – includes text-enabled cellular/wireless telephone numbers, machine or mobile device IDs, and other comparable details.

  • Identification Information – your name, street address, email address, date of birth, phone number, country name and physical ID, facial biometric.
  • Device Information – encompasses details about you, including (a) data derived from your mobile device or computer, such as device type, machine or mobile device identification number, time zone, language setting, browser type, and IP address; and (b) information obtained from third parties for transaction processing, identity verification, fraud detection or prevention, and similar purposes. To enhance fraud prevention, we may also associate your machine ID with the machines of others using the same payment cards.
  • Financial Information – refers to details such as your bank account online login information, bank account and routing numbers, and credit cards linked to your CX PayMe account. It is important to note that CX PayMe does not share financial information with third-party social networking services, as mentioned in the previous section.
  • Merchant information – including, but not limited to business information, contact emails, phone numbers and taxpayer ID numbers, Chamber of Commerce number.
  • Information you provide when you contact us – your response to surveys, recorded conversations, chat conversations with us, email correspondence with us, account status, transactional history, information about others if you choose to share it with us.
  • Our commitment is to offer a secure and excellent service. Hence, prior to granting access to the Services, we may request additional information to verify your identity, address, or other details. This is essential for compliance with the law and for effectively managing risk and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements throughout our association.
  • Additionally, we might obtain information about you from third-party sources, such as identity verification, fraud prevention, and similar services.
  • While utilizing the Services, we gather information related to your account transactions. Additionally, we may collect details pertaining to your computer, operating systems, or other access devices for the purposes of fraud prevention and similar objectives.

SECTION 7 – THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
CX PayMe ensures the confidentiality of your personal information and does not share it with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes.

Certain personal details are considered public information and may be visible to anyone on the internet, regardless of whether they have a CX PayMe account. This public information can also be viewed, accessed, reshared, or downloaded through CX PayMe’s APIs or third-party services integrated with our products.

For personal profiles, public information includes your CX PayMe username, profile photo, name, and may include month, and year of CX PayMe account creation, as well as public transactions in which you’ve participated. In the case of business profiles, public information comprises the CX PayMe username, profile and background photos, business name, business description, and QR code. Public information related to business profiles may be indexed by and searchable on search engines.

Deleting Your Account:

If you wish to delete your CX PayMe account, follow these steps:

How to delete your account on the Phone:

  1. Log in:
    • Log in to the account you wish to delete.
  2. Navigate to Profile:
    • Press on your profile picture located at the top right to navigate to your profile.
  3. Select Delete My Account:
    • Scroll down until you see a button in red named “Delete My Account.”
  4. Confirm Deletion:
    • Press on “Delete My Account.” A pop-up will appear asking for your password.
  5. Enter Password:
    • Enter your password to confirm the deletion.
  6. Account Deleted:
    • Once you enter your password, your account will be deleted.

How to delete your account on the Website:

  1. Log in:
  • Log in to the account you wish to delete.
  1. Navigate to Profile:
  • Use the navigation bar located on the left of your screen to navigate to your profile.
  1. Select Delete Account:
  • Find and press the button called “Delete Account.”
  1. Confirm Deletion:
  • A pop-up will appear asking for your password.
  1. Enter Password:
  • Enter your password to confirm the deletion.
  1. Account Deleted:
  • Once you enter your password, your account will be deleted.

Important Note:

Please note that if you have a balance, you will not be able to delete your account. If you need assistance transferring your balance to another account or cashing out your balance, please contact us at support@cxpay.me.
